Bio
Aidan Pabis
Aidan Pabis is a pianist from Winder, Georgia, U.S.A. He began taking piano lessons at eight-years-old. He is a recipient of a 2024 YoungArts Award, and he has been supported by a grant from the James Barnett Foundation from 2024-2026.
He was a senior division winner at the 47th Ruth Kern Young Artists Concerto Competition and the first prize winner in the 2023 Atlanta Music Club Scholarship Competition. He also won first prize in the 2019 Atlanta Romantic and Impressionistic Piano Competition, and he was selected as the runner up of the 2023 Rome Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition in Rome, GA. In 2020 and 2021, he placed 2nd in the Georgia Music Teachers Association State Auditions. He also won a bronze medal in the Southeast Young Artist Piano Competition in 2021.
At 16-years-old he played solo with the Atlanta Community Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Juan R. Ramírez-Hernández.
He has participated in several music programs, including the Vivace International Music Festival, Colburn Piano Seminar, Oberlin Piano Festival, University of North Carolina School of the Arts Summer Piano Intensive, Suwanee Summer Music Festival, Indiana University’s Virtual Summer Piano Academy, the Curtis Mentor Network, the Gilmore KeysFest Virtual Edition, Interlochen Online, and the Cleveland Institute of Music Summer Sonata.
He has enjoyed private lessons and mentorship from Giuliano Graniti, Chenny Gan, Kyung-A Yoo, Amy Yang and Grace Huang as well as master classes and/or lessons taught by notable teachers such as Jerome Lowenthal, Dang Thai Son, Fabio Bidini, Angela Cheng, Marina Lomazov, Alvin Chow, Robert Shannon, David Fung, Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner, Evren Ozel and others.
Currently he is studying with Alan Woo, and he will be attending the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Fall 2026 to study with Dmitri Vorobiev.
